Under the Office of Postsecondary Education, the Department of Education makes available approximately $38 billion in Pell Grants, student loans, and other aid to over 8.2 million students. As you visit the UNLV's Financial Aid & Scholarships web site, check out the following award-winning online tools created by OPE's Student Financial Assistance Programs to help you learn about and apply for  these Federal aid programs:

Funding Your Education-- Provides a basic overview of Federal grant, loan, and workstudy programs.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)-- Obtain an electronic FAFSA, and send it to the Department of Education via the web, by modem, or by mail.

The Student Guide to Financial Aid-- Gives detailed, step-by-step information on the financial aid process.

HOPE Scholarship and Lifetime Learning Credits-- Contains all the latest information on how to obtain the new  tax credits for college expenses.
