Financial Assistance for International Students

Studying at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas can be inspiring, exciting, and costly. Limited assistance is available to international students who hold a F-1 (student visa) or a J-1 (student exchange visa). Federal financial aid such as federal Pell grants, federal work-study, federal direct loans, and state grants are not available to international students.

Limited assistance consists of scholarships, alternative loans from banks, private lenders, on-campus employment, and from student’s home country.
