Many of UNLV general scholarship awards
are made soon after the deadline has passed, however, some other
awards are made throughout the year by various UNLV departments
and colleges. The optimum application period for the upcoming
academic year is December through February 1st, immediately
proceeding that "FALL" semester. Applications received
after the suggested deadline will continue to be considered
for available scholarships; however, UNLV Financial Aid & Scholarships encourages students to apply before the deadline. Remember
that scholarship funds are limited and highly competitive. Many
qualified applicants do not receive awards.
Only scholarship recipients will be
notified of the results of their application. Recipient notifications
are generally made by the end of April annually for the upcoming
school year (beginning with the "FALL" semester).
