Workstudy Qualifications
In order to qualify for off-campus work-study,
an agency must be a public non-profit organization, or a local,
state, or Federal agency. Job responsibilities must not
promote religious doctrine or involve political lobbying, and the student
may not replace or fill a permanent staff position. Off-campus positions
must involve work that is in the public interest.
Prior to receiving a work-study allocation,
off-campus agencies must apply for a position through Student Financial
Services. A contract must be completed with the University along with
the application. Financial Aid & Scholarships will at that time post the
open positions on the Student Employment home page. The contract must
be renewed each year by July 1st.
To obtain the application and contract, off-campus
agencies should fill out an Off-campus Work Study Application/Contract
and submit it to Financial Aid & Scholarships. The approval process could
take several weeks. If you have any questions please contact the Student
Employment Office at 895-3939.
