Community Service Opportunities

UNLV work-study students have the opportunity to work in the community service program. Community service programs include on-campus departments or off-campus agencies. Off-campus agencies must be public non-profit organizations or a local, state, or federal agency and must involve work that is in the public interest. Often, community service jobs involve career-related activities. Also, community service jobs look great on a resume. Some of the agencies involved in the program this year include:

American Red Cross South Nevada Chapter
Las Vegas Natural History Museum
Boys and Girls Club of Henderson MASH Village
Class Publications
Nike House
Community Action against Rape
SAFE House
Foundation for an Independent Tomorrow Southern Nevada Child and Adolescent Services
Greater Las Vegas Inner-City Games
Reno Cooperative Extension
