Advantages of Working

Student employment is intended to be a learning experience and a productive activity that complement a student's academic career. Through student employment, students secure funds to finance their college education. In addition, students who work part-time gain important job skills, establish a work history, develop professional contacts, graduate in a timely manner, and perform better academically! In most jobs, students have the ability to arrange a work schedule around their classes. Working also allows students to earn money to pay for some of their indirect college expenses (e.g., rent and travel costs).
