UNLV Scholarship Application Instructions
IMPORTANT: Please read this page before
moving forward.
You are about to complete the application
that is required for consideration of UNLV scholarships. This
application is open to entering freshmen, entering transfer,
continuing undergraduate, all graduate, and all professional
students. As noted above, the scholarship application is effective
beginning in the fall semester and will be considered for any available
scholarships throughout the year until the end of the summer
semester.
Students selected for a scholarship will
be notified by receiving an e-mail or by regular mail. Selections
occur throughout the year, with the majority of scholarships
awarded in early spring for the following fall semester. Because
the scholarship application is valid for the entire
school year, students will not receive a denial letter after
scholarship selections are determined at any point during the
year.
UNLV Financial Aid & Scholarships encourages
you to continue your search beyond completing this application.
Contact other agencies and organizations and continue your on-line
investigation for scholarships. You are also encouraged to complete
the
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), available
on-line January 2nd. Many scholarship agencies and donors
require students to complete the FAFSA and to demonstrate an
extended search for financial aid opportunities beyond scholarships.
To assist your college in its selection process, the college
of your major will receive information from your UNLV
Scholarship Application. Contact your college
for additional requirements and information.
If you are completing
this application for the first time, please finish
reading this notice and then proceed with completing the application.
As you complete the on-line application, be certain to follow
instructions and to respond to every item if applicable.
If you will
be an entering UNLV freshman, you will be considered
for a number of scholarship programs. Please review the list
of UNLV's most prestigious entering freshman
scholarships for the school year.
If you are
or will be a UNLV graduate student, you may be eligible
for graduate scholarships, fellowships, traineeships, or graduate
assistantships offered by your academic department and the UNLV
Graduate College. Please contact the Graduate College for
separate applications and deadlines. You may find additional
information by reading the UNLV Graduate Catalog.
If you are or
will be a UNLV professional student, you may be eligible
for scholarships available through your professional program
including the William S. Boyd School of Law and the UNLV School
of Dentistry. Please contact your academic department for additional
scholarship information.
If you are or
will be a UNLV international student, you may be
eligible for some scholarships offered through the various departments
at UNLV. You are encouraged to complete the on-line scholarship
application. Please click on Financial Assistance for
International Students for inormation regarding additional
resources available to UNLV international students that may
assist in your search for funds to pay your educational expenses.

already completed this on-line application, DO NOT
